Remove a few large pieces of hearts of palm from the jar and let them drain.  (If you have a large jar from Costco,你可以把剩下的放在冰箱里一两个星期,但把液体放在罐子里。)

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil while you slice asparagus into diagonal 1 1/2 inch pieces until you have about 2 cups.

Cook the asparagus in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes,then drain immediately.

Salad Ingredients:
1/2磅新鲜芦笋,ends snapped off and cut into diagonal slices (2 cups sliced asparagus)
